Outdoor Video That Delivers the Ultimate Experience

Why settle for a boring backyard when you can turn it into the ultimate entertainment space with a custom outdoor video system? At Perfect Angle, we bring the big screen outside, whether you’re watching the game poolside, hosting movie night under the stars, or keeping up with your favorite shows while grilling up a feast. Here’s everything you need to know to make your outdoor video setup as epic as it deserves to be.

Choosing the Right Outdoor TV
  • Full Shade
For those cozy shaded areas like a covered patio or screened-in porch, full-shade TVs are the perfect solution. These affordable, weatherproof displays offer crisp, bright visuals that hold up year-round without breaking the bank. They’re an excellent choice for the budget-conscious outdoor enthusiast who still wants a little slice of the good life.
  • Partial Shade
Got a mix of sun and shade? A partial-shade TV is your answer. Designed to handle the occasional glare, these TVs are brighter and more durable than their full-shade counterparts. Perfect for spaces like the side of the house or a semi-open deck, they’re tough enough to handle a splash of sunlight and a summer thunderstorm.
  • Full Sun
Meet the king of outdoor TVs. Full-sun models are built to dominate harsh environments, from poolside setups to wide-open patios. With the brightest displays, superior weatherproofing, and glare-resistant technology, these TVs are made for the ultimate viewing experience, even in direct sunlight. If you’re planning on hosting a Super Bowl bash by the pool, this is the TV for you.

“Should I Hang An Indoor TV Outside?”

Before we choose our outdoor TV type I’m sure most people are thinking about this question here.  We understand the allure of installing an indoor TV outside and we are here to give you the most honest advice on the subject.  At Perfect Angle, we have installed several TVs outside but this is probably our most common question.  There are several reasons not to install an indoor TV outside, and one of them is moisture.  TVs can only handle so much abuse, and TVs are getting more and more fragile every year.  The biggest reason not to put an indoor TV outside would be the cold.  Your TV will most likely not last for the winter, and even if you decide to bring the TV inside every year you will ultimately put your TV in danger of breaking when you decide to keep it in the corner of the garage for the winter.  There are several reasons why you should not take this route, and the biggest reason would be money, we hate to see you throw away hard-earned money on a TV that will likely end up broken within a few months.  We understand that outdoor TVs come at a cost, but they are often worth it in the long run.  There are a lot of companies that provide outdoor boxes for TVs that claim to protect the TV, and although this might protect the TV from direct weather, it will not protect it from the harsh winter conditions or the moisture buildup of our Long Island climate.  These outdoor TV boxes also come with a much higher labor cost as they are more difficult to install than a normal outdoor TV.  However, if this is the route you would like to take, and you are someone who likes to gamble, then we are happy to take on this task for you.

The Importance of Professional Design

An outdoor video setup is about more than just the TV, it’s about creating an experience. Proper placement, viewing angles, and integration with your outdoor space make all the difference. At Perfect Angle, we consider every detail to ensure your outdoor entertainment system looks stunning and performs flawlessly.

Mounting Matters

Your mounting choice is key to getting the most out of your outdoor video system. Here’s how to pick the right one:

  • Swivel Mounts: Ideal for flexible viewing angles, perfect for larger outdoor spaces.
  • Tilting Mounts: Great for TVs mounted higher up, like above a bar or fireplace.
  • Flat Mounts: Best for compact spaces but less ideal outdoors due to limited room for outlet boxes.

Our team ensures every mount is secure and optimized for your space.

Bring the Sound to Life

What’s a great outdoor video setup without stellar sound? Let’s face it: most outdoor TVs fall short in the audio department. Here’s how we fix it:

  • Soundbars: Sleek, weatherproof, and stylish, these attach directly to your TV for easy audio enhancement.
  • Landscape Audio Systems: The gold standard for outdoor sound, these systems deliver immersive audio with speakers placed strategically throughout your yard. Whether it’s the roar of the crowd during the big game or the bass drop in your favorite movie, outdoor audio systems provide a cinematic experience that soundbars can’t match.
